Inclement Weather Policy:

If Fairfax County Public Schools open two hours late, we will open one hour late, at 9:45. If Fairfax is closed, we will be closed.

In the highly unlikely event that Alexandria City Public Schools are closed or delayed due to a weather event when Fairfax remains open, AFS will either be closed or open one hour late, according to what ACPS does. Please note this applies only to area-wide events such as snowfall, and not to limited events, such as localized flooding. If you cannot safely travel to school from your neighborhood or location, please inform the school.
